Saskatchewan Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport - Culture

Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport (TPCS) supports the cultural sector in a variety of ways. In addition to TPCS Cultural Initiatives, the ministry provides ongoing policy and/or financial support to a number of Provincial Cultural organizations:

Saskatchewan Arts Board

The Saskatchewan Arts Board is provided with ongoing policy and financial support.

Established by the Government of Saskatchewan in 1948, the Saskatchewan Arts Board is an arms-length funding agency that provides grants, programs and services to individuals and organizations whose activities have an impact on the arts and the people of Saskatchewan.  It manages the world's largest collection of Saskatchewan art and collects, preserves, lends, and rents out art objects.

SaskCulture

SaskCulture Inc. provides a unifying voice for Saskatchewan's cultural community.  SaskCulture works in partnership with the cultural community in Saskatchewan to build a culturally vibrant province where all citizens celebrate, value and participate in a rich cultural life.  Its membership includes more than 100 member organizations and individuals form the areas of arts, cultural industries, heritage and multiculturalism, as well as First Nations and Métis cultural groups.

SCN

SCN was created in 1989 by an act of the Legislature to provide increased access to information for the people of Saskatchewan.  Through its interrelated networks, SCN provides Saskatchewan residents with educational, informational and cultural programming and training opportunities.
