NOTICE: Work will start on the campground electrification project at Pike Lake Provincial Park on August 18, 2008 in the southeast corner of the campground (sites #143-#210).  Campers in those sites need to relocate no later than August 17, 2008.

Pike Lake Provincial Park is 20 minutes from Saskatoon and a million miles from the city.

Pike Lake is a recreation park characterized by aspen, poplar and Manitoba maple groves; manicured lawns with two picnic areas close to the main beach; desert-like sand dunes a short hike away and a popular outdoor pool with a waterslide.  Add to this a diverse array of plants and wildlife owing to its location on a flood plain of the South Saskatchewan River and you can see why Pike Lake Provincial Park offers a delightful change of pace for people wishing to recharge their batteries without having to travel for hours.

Pike Lake is a Reserve-A-Site Park.

The Reserve-A-Site program is now closed for the season.  We've enjoyed serving you over the camping season and look forward to hearing from you in the New Year.  Updated Reserve-A-Site information will be posted here in December 2008.  Thank you.

The main campground offers a choice of 119 electrified, 87 non-electrified and two special needs campsites.  We do not guarantee the site of your choice but will do our best to accommodate your request.  Your site will be confirmed by telephone at which time your payment will be due.  One of three service centres features a coin operated laundry facility in addition to the always-popular hot showers and modern conveniences.  Three group camping areas are booked by reservation, while those seeking something a little less rustic might prefer one of new privately owned rental cabins.  A store and fast-food outlet are located near the main beach.

There is one campground 220 campsites:

• Electric Sites:  121 (near a service centre)
• Non-electric Sites:  99 (near a service centre)

Group Camping

Pike Lake offers three Group Site areas that can be reserved for group functions or family reunions.  A minimum of five camping units in the site is required to reserve these areas.  There is a non-refundable reservation fee of $15.00 and the cost of the first night’s stay for five units is required upon booking.  Please contact our administration office for more details at (306) 933-6966.  For more information on Group Camping in a provincial park, please visit the Group Camping page.

Seasonal Camping

Pike Lake offers seasonal camping spots. 

Seasonal camping is complete for this year.  Information on 2009 seasonal camping will be posted on the Seasonal Camping page in the New Year.  To be placed on our mailing list and have the application forms for the 2009 season sent to you when they are available, please call the park office at (306) 933-6966 or email us at PikeLake@gov.sk.ca.  Thank you for your interest in the seasonal camping program.

Pike Lake offers limited in-park services, but does have cabin rentals, a concession and store that stocks necessary supplies, and canoe and paddle boat rental.  Saskatoon, Saskatchewan’s largest city is only around half an hour away.

Night Owl Camping Cabins:  Experience all of the fun and excitement of camping in the comfort and security of a cozy 2 room log cabins.  Sit back and watch the stars from your own 6’ covered deck or sit around the campfire and roast wieners with the kids.  Phone 1-877-651-0879.

The Huddle:  A fast food/concession facility is located near main beach.  The Huddle is open from mid May to Labour Day.  Phone (306) 668-4910.

Being located less then 30 minutes from Saskatoon means there are plenty of attractions and events in the area.  Consider a trip to Saskatoon for a visit to the Western Development Museum:  Boomtown 1910, or Wanuskewin Heritage Park.
