Did You Know?

The government has doubled its tourism spending in 2008-09 to $16 million to help make Saskatchewan more competitive in attracting visitors to the province.  Tourism is a $1.5 billion industry that employs one in nine workers in Saskatchewan.

Developers and their agents registered with the Heritage Resources Branch may access a password-protected database of select quarter-sections that have been pre-screened and found to be NOT heritage-sensitive (i.e. contain no known heritage sites or have low site potential).

This map, which shows areas currently pre-screened for heritage sensitivity (indicated in yellow), is regularly updated.  PLEASE NOTE that lands currently identified as not heritage-sensitive may become sensitive as new information becomes available.

To access the database, you must first request a user name and password by emailing the Heritage Resources Branch at arms@gov.sk.ca
